No, I haven't gone blog-crazy, but I've just heard the very sad news that one of my heroes, Brian Clough, has died. I started supporting Nottingham Forest in the seventies when I was a wee nipper and they were running aamok in Division One, setting records and preparing to win two European Cups. As the song of the time went, Nottingham Forest were magic. Even when things went a bit wobbly in the eighties it was still a joy being a Forest fan because we had the most charismatic, interesting manager in the league. He should have been England manager but the FA were too gutless. RIP Brian - you're a legend. |
