Vintage have just republished all of the godlike Haruki Murakami's novels with cool (and sexy) covers. Murakami is my favourite novelist: funny, wise, modern and very strange. All of his books are worth reading, especially The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Norwegian Wood. But South of the Border, West of the Sun (above right) is a great Murakami starter novel. And while we're on this literary theme, the latest addition to MarkCity is a list of my Top 10 Favourite Books. Very self-indulgent. |
